Ascent to Forcella Ambrizzola: views and unspoiled nature

The hike departs from Selva di Cadore, a small jewel of the Dolomites, and tackles the ascent to Forcella Ambrizzola, a challenging section but made more accessible thanks to pedal-assisted cycling. It traverses dense forests, alpine meadows and picture-postcard landscapes, with sweeping views of the Dolomite peaks.

Giau Pass: one of the icons of the Dolomites by e-bike

Reaching Forcella Ambrizzola, an extraordinary horizon opens up over the surrounding mountains. You then continue to the legendary Giau Pass, among the most spectacular in the Dolomites, much loved by cyclists and photographers for its breathtaking views.

Stop at Scoiattoli Refuge and view of Mt. Pelmo

A break at Rifugio Scoiattoli, with its terrace overlooking Mount Pelmo, is the perfect opportunity to refresh yourself with typical dishes and enjoy the tranquility of high altitude. The Dolomite setting makes every stop a unique experience.

Across Forcella Averau to Colle Santa Lucia

The route continues to Forcella Averau, another incredible vantage point, and then descends to Colle Santa Lucia, a historic village nestled in the mountains, known for its picturesque and authentic views.

Return to Selva di Cadore: relaxing e-bike descent

The final descent to Selva di Cadore is smooth and scenic, ideal for ending this bike tour experience in the Dolomites without fatigue. Thanks to the e-bike, even the longest or steepest sections become accessible to everyone.
