The <a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sacrario_militare_del_monte_Grappa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">military shrine that stands on the Grappa massif<\/a>, the scene of some of the fiercest fighting of<a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Prima_guerra_mondiale\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> World War I<\/a>, is among the most impressive and evocative.<br \/>\nA admirable work of architecture, built in 1935 to a design by architect <a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Giovanni_Greppi_(architetto)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Giovanni Greppi<\/a> and sculptor Giannino Castiglioni, the building looks like a majestic superimposition of concentric circles, each 4 meters high, connected by a large central staircase with 5 flights.
