{"id":2550,"date":"2025-03-28T09:05:14","date_gmt":"2025-03-28T09:05:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/feltrebiketour.it\/feltre-e-dintorni\/teatro-de-la-sena\/"},"modified":"2025-06-10T08:20:45","modified_gmt":"2025-06-10T08:20:45","slug":"teatro-de-la-sena","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/feltrebiketour.it\/en\/feltre\/teatro-de-la-sena\/","title":{"rendered":"Teatro de la Sena"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 16th-century Palazzo della Regione in <a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Feltre\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Feltre&#8217;s Piazza Maggiore<\/a> encloses within it a jewel with almost perfect acoustics: <a href=\"https:\/\/fondacofeltre.it\/feltre\/teatro-la-sena\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the Teatro della Sena<\/a>. Since 1684, the year of its debut as a public theater, the \u201cSena\u201d knew its heyday in the early eighteenth century, ennobled by the temporary presence of a young Carlo Goldoni, who between 1729 and 1730 gave the citizenship the world premieres of 2 3-voice intermezzos: \u201cIl buon vecchio\u201d and \u201cLa cantatrice.\u201d<br \/>\nAfter a long period of neglect (which, unfortunately, would not be the last), the Teatro della Sena was born to new life in 1813 thanks to the work of Venetian architect Gian Antonio Selva, already the creator of the \u201cLa Fenice\u201d theater and the \u201cTeatro Nuovo.\u201d The decorations, including the original curtain restored in 2019, were entrusted to Tranquillo Orsi, who had previously taken care, with great skill, of those of the Venetian Fenice.<br \/>\nThanks to the extraordinary work of these 2 artists, the Teatro della Sena is also known to fans by the flattering nickname \u201cLittle Phoenix.\u201d <\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"A Feltre presentato il sipario del Teatro de la Sena\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zikM1ZX3xOM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 16th-century Palazzo della Regione in Feltre&#8217;s Piazza Maggiore encloses within it a jewel with almost perfect acoustics: the Teatro della Sena.
